Jayati specializes in building performance analysis, energy codes and the development of scalable tools and methodologies for whole-building life-cycle carbon assessment and compliance. She brings a strong foundation in applied research, with experience in national and state energy codes, compliance tools - COMcheck and REScheck, energy audits, retrofit planning, and building performance standards (BPS), including alternative compliance pathways. She has contributed to the development of state green codes and advanced compliance methodologies, translating complex analysis into practical, implementable strategies for high-performance, code-compliant buildings.

She is an active contributor to the building performance community through leadership roles with IBPSA-USA and is a strong advocate for practical, scalable approaches to energy efficiency and decarbonization.

Outside of work, she enjoys dancing (Bollywood, Hiphop and classical fusion) and is formally trained in Bharatanatyam, an Indian classical dance form. She also loves reading books.
